Painted kitchen in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire

Many of the enquiries I receive come in from in and around the Home Counties. This John Ladbury painted kitchen in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire was no different.

The kitchen is in a beautiful setting within the Hertfordshire countryside.

The clients had recently moved in and had inherited this fantastic John Ladbury kitchen. All it needed was a colour change. Some areas needed a degrease before the whole kitchen had  a light sand with the festool this meant that dust was kept to an absolute minimum.

Each kitchen that I undertake receives the same amount of pre-preparation. This includes protecting the flooring and work surfaces also removing as many components as possible so that the finished paint job is clean, precise and neat. Kitchen cabinet painter Broxbourne

The devil is in the detail!

One thing that I often find on these fantastic painted kitchens is the lack of detail. These eyelets that are part of a shelf support had been painted over. This means that the pegs could not be removed if you wanted to change the positioning of the shelf.

I removed the old eyelets with a special tool that I have and replaced them with new clean ones. Kitchen cabinet painter Broxbourne

Once the eyelet is separated from the painted surface they can then be removed. A very simple job that does in my opinion make a difference between tody and untidy finishing.

As you can see the new eyelets give a much neater finish. I know this is only a minor part of it, but it is important to me that everything should be precise. Kitchen cabinet painter Broxbourne

Another part of the painting process involves the stacking of the removed painted components. This consists of drawer fronts/dishwasher and pan drawers, plinths and shelves. This is made much easier by the use of the Erecta Rack.

On the whole a very satisfying project .hand painted kitchens broxbourne hertfordshire

The kitchen was at this time was finished in Little Greene French Grey 113 Oil based Eggshell at the request of the client. A subtle Gray tone that also blends well into this Hertfordshire property.

The oil finished worktops complement the colour of the cabinets and also the floor and add a degree of warmth to the feel of the kitchen .hand painted kitchens broxbourne hertfordshire

As you can see its a fantastic kitchen in a beautiful location.

Beautiful bespoke!

This bespoke painted kitchen in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire is a prime example of the kitchen that I have been painting for the last 25 years and I still do not tire of each project that I undertake. I am more than happy using traditional oil based paints but as I mentioned earlier, I prefer using a waterborne paint system. hand painted kitchens broxbourne hertfordshire
