Chorleywood

is a village and civil parish located in the Three Rivers District of Hertfordshire, on the border with Buckinghamshire, about 20 miles (32 km) northwest of Charing Cross. Situated adjacent to the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is also part of the London commuter belt and also the Greater London Urban Area as defined by the government. Historically, Chorleywood was a part of Rickmansworth parish, becoming its own ecclesiastical parish in 1845 and a separate civil parish in 1898. Kitchen cabinet painter Chorleywood

Throughout the year, many enquiries are for bespoke kitchens. The primary advantage of these cabinets is their exceptional craftsmanship, often being well-made, beautifully finished, and also expertly fitted in most cases.

I consistently remark on the cabinet quality and also the standard of fitting. This becomes apparent when removing doors and drawer fronts. Uneven doors and drawers, which might require packers for adjustment, are the last things one would want to encounter or even see on a completed kitchen. Kitchen cabinet painter Chorleywood

Adjustments

Like on many projects similar to this one, adjustments were made using the adjustment screws on the hinges and the runners. This ensures perfect spacing and alignment when the doors are rehung. It’s crucial to attempt the adjustments before removal in case planing is necessary. Kitchen cabinet painter Chorleywood

This particular kitchen was designed by a company named Kitchen Art. I have worked on numerous kitchens from this company throughout Hertfordshire and also Buckinghamshire. They are a delight to work on due to their exquisite craftsmanship.

The primary goal of this specific project was to rejuvenate the cabinets. They was showing signs of wear in certain areas. The original colour was reapplied, and the existing handles were cleaned and reattached.

Polishing the chrome handles

The handles were polished using a chrome cleaner. This removed some surface marks and also removed the tarnished areas. Several of the doors needed slight adjustments. A couple of the pan drawers also needed a bit of adjustment as the weight of the pans had inevitably pushed the runners down and a couple of the drawers were catching on the frame. All easily taken care of and funtioning smoothly on completion.
